Techventure 2013 is an established platform for showcasing technology innovation and enterprise in the region. The event offers an opportunity for start-ups to seek investments from venture capitalists, corporate ventures, private equity and angel investors. It is also a platform to network, exchange ideas and develop business plans.

IMO Labs will be giving an oral presentation at the forthcoming 13th International Conference on Culture Collections which will be held in Beijing from 23-27th September 2013. A paper on "Application of PCR-DGGE and Community Profiling to Monitor and Maintain the Diversity and Function of Preserved and Functional Microbial Consortium" will br presented on 26th September 2013 in Session 16: Biological resources: preservation technologies.
A poster on "Molecular Technique for the detection of actinomycetes from soil-water samples" will also be presented during the conference.
The ICCC13 conference is organised by the World Federation of Culture Collections (WFCC). WFCC is a federation which promotes and supports the establishment of culture collections and related services. ICCC13 will cover topics of various areas in microorganisms including biodiversity, phylogenetics and metabolisms, environmental and ecological aspects, as well as about microbes in the bio-economy era.
